The birth of The Happiness Project. [January 15, 2012]
Once I get this thing going, I need an event planner, tech crew, an advertisement team, artists, internet gurus, writers, business management team, merchandise production team and people who genuinely care about the cause. Please continue reading, it would mean a lot to me and the people who will benefit from this.
i would like to start my own happiness project where i will:
- tell my story & inspire others to do the same
- help others find happiness
- be there for people when they need it most, where they have no one else to turn to
- put up posters saying take what you need, that have the little leaflets that have things like hug, love, kisses, warmth, light, peace, etc. & then have “happiness project” on the back with my email
- have concerts to lift people’s spirits where i will be the main event, until i gather enough people to become the host instead and part-time performer.
- hold open mics for people to be able to tell their stories.
- host an email where people can send me their stories and i can post them if they wish, with possible solutions or to just have their story acknowledged. i can answer privately if they so choose
- or i can make a blog that people can refer to and they can go anonymous with their stories. i think that this idea would be best
- or i can do both. no matter
- we can create products to sell that pertain to the happiness project like scarves for warmth, mugs for comfort, cookies for pick-me-ups, cakes for the real deal, ice creams for happy and sad occasions, plushies for reminders that life isn’t so bad, etc. the funds will be go to hosting better concerts, donating to related organizations, granting wishes for lucky story tellers, etc.
i’ve been thinking of starting this club for a little while now and i hope to expand to a city wide movement. i think that people need this. i want to make a difference in people’s lives and i want to start now. i really hope that other people will be interested in what i’m trying to do.
i’m so excited to get started. it’s going to be a huge learning experience for me but i will make this work. one person can make a difference, it’s just a matter of starting.
